LAWI RDF Schemas

The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is a metadata framework that provides a degree of semantic interoperability among applications that exchange machine-processible metadata. An RDF Schema is a specification developed and maintained under the auspices of the World Wide Web Consortium. More information is available at http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-schema/.

LAWI identifies metadata terms with Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) in the LAWI target namespace URIs listed below.
These RDF Schemas are identified as being Internet Media Type application/rdf+xml. Not all web browsers associate a default action with application/rdf+xml, so users of some browsers may be offered a choice of actions.

As the LAWI grows and evolves, the target namespace redirects are revised to point to successive updated RDF Schemas.

Note: the Resource Description Framework standard uses URIs only to identify resources. Web browsers also use URIs to retrieve resources. RDF does not assume that the URI identifies a retrievable web resource.
